How it works

Three steps, then it just works.

  1. 1

    Add your cards

Tell PointOut what's in your wallet. That's the whole setup β€” no bank login required to get going.

  2. 2

    Link a bank (optional)

Connect accounts securely through Plaid to sharpen recommendations. PointOut reads your history β€” it never guesses which cards you own.

  3. 3

    Tap when you pay

At the register, hit β€œWhat card now?” PointOut names the best card in about a second.

What's inside

Built to answer one question.

β€œWhat card now?”

One tap on the home screen. PointOut uses a single GPS read to figure out the merchant and hand you the winning card β€” right when you're standing at the counter.

Explore the map

Open the Map tab and tap any place to see which card wins there β€” before you even leave the house.

Knows the real category

PointOut reads authoritative Merchant Category Codes, so dining is dining and groceries are groceries β€” not a lucky guess.

Your whole wallet, ranked

It weighs every card by reward rate Γ— point value for the category you're in, then surfaces the single best one.

The whole idea, in one line

best card = highest reward rate Γ— point value for what you're buying

Every feature in PointOut is judged against that one goal. If it doesn't help you swipe the right card, it doesn't ship.

Good questions

Before you download.

How does PointOut pick the best card?

It matches what you're buying to a spending category, then ranks every card in your wallet by reward rate Γ— point value. The winner is the one you tap.

Do I have to connect a bank?

No. Adding your cards is all it takes. Linking a bank through Plaid just sharpens the recommendations by reading your real transaction history.

Is my financial data safe?

Bank connections run through Plaid, the same service used by major finance apps. PointOut reads transaction history to improve recommendations β€” and nothing else.

Which phones does it support?

iPhone, on iOS, today. Support for more platforms is on the roadmap.

Stop leaving rewards on the counter.

Add your cards once, and let PointOut make every swipe the right one.
